MAKE A DIFFERENCE
This program enables Georgia residents, corporations, trusts, LLCs, and partnerships the opportunity to designate aportion of their state tax liability to the school's need-based scholarship program. While there is no cost to participants, the program has a tremendous impact on The Foundry's ability to provide financial assistance to students in need.
Many thanks to those who are participating in the GOAL program! We are deeply grateful for the financial support this program will provide Foundry Families.
Chances are, you're already paying Georgia income taxes. Why not redirect some of your hard-earned dollars to provide tuition assistance to financially eligible Foundry students?
In 2019, The Foundry partnered with the Georgia GOAL Scholarship Program, a Student Scholarship Organization (SSO) created through the Georgia Education Expense Tax Credit Program
GOAL FAQ
WHEN CAN I SIGN UP?
Registration for the GOAL program is already in full-swing. Apply online today, and be sure to select "Foundry, The" in Peachtree City.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Participants apply to GOAL by December 31 each year. GOAL sends all applications to the Department of Revenue (DOR) on the first business day in January. The DOR will then send approval letters. Once approved by the DOR, participants must make their payments to GOAL within 60 days. Participants can take a state tax credit when filing their taxes the following spring.
You can also take a look at this independent study by KSU showing that the GOAL program doesn't only help private school students, it means there are more resources and money to spend on those students attending public school.
WHERE CAN I FIND MORE INFORMATION?
The Georgia GOAL website contains a wealth of information on the history, purpose, and specifics of the program.
